Soham Meditation Led by Swami – 3.5 Mins
Soham meditation is a practice that uses the Sanskrit mantra soham, which means “I am”. The meditation involves silently or vocally chanting the mantra while breathing:
- Find a comfortable position, such as lotus pose, with an upright spine
- Place your palms facing up in jnana mudra
- Focus on your breath
- Inhale slowly through your nose while silently repeating “so”
- Exhale slowly through your nose while silently repeating “hum”
- You can also say “that” or “all that is” as you exhale
- Visualize your exhalation leaving your body and merging back into infinity
- Continue to repeat the mantra with each breath
