Soham Meditation Led by Swami – 3.5 Mins

Soham meditation is a practice that uses the Sanskrit mantra soham, which means “I am”. The meditation involves silently or vocally chanting the mantra while breathing:

  1. Find a comfortable position, such as lotus pose, with an upright spine
  2. Place your palms facing up in jnana mudra
  3. Focus on your breath
  4. Inhale slowly through your nose while silently repeating “so”
  5. Exhale slowly through your nose while silently repeating “hum”
  6. You can also say “that” or “all that is” as you exhale
  7. Visualize your exhalation leaving your body and merging back into infinity
  8. Continue to repeat the mantra with each breath
